I don't suppose the V-50 newbies will get the significance of the color scheme, but I did encode some information into the colors I chose. For example, take the circle that represents Newton in the center of the slide. If there are any sharp people hearing the course, they'll get the significance of the colors after they've seen the ideological program slide later in the course.

Oh...I guess it might be of some use to show you why I had to recreate the graphics. Check out the following four slides, which are replaced by the nine slides above. I assume that no editorial commentary is necessary.
